Rules and Policies
  • Students must wear proper dance attire and dance shoes to class.
  • Hair must be worn up and out of the face.
  • No food, drink or gum chewing.
  • Respect must be shown to the Studio staff and other students at all time.

Absences and Attendance
No refunds or deductions are given for missed classes. From January to May we will be working on recital dances. Please note that attendance is crucial during these months. Regular attendance is essential for student success! Please try not to miss class unless it is absolutely necessary. Any class that is missed maybe made up in another class.

Drop Off and Pick Up
Students should not be brought to the studio more then 10 minutes before their scheduled class time and must be picked up immediately following class dismissal. Preschooler’s children under the age of 9 must be escorted into and out of the building by an adult.

Dance Attire
Proper dance attire is important and will be strictly enforced. Ballet and tap shoes are to be secured with elastic bands. The name of the student should be written on all shoes. Students need to have their hair neatly tied back away from their face. Students will not be allowed to participate in class unless dressed properly. See the list below for class specific attire.

Preschool
Leotards and tights (any style and color), pink ballet shoes

Combination Classes
Leotard and tights for ballet, jazz pants optional for jazz and tap, pink ballet shoes, black tap shoes

Ballet
Solid color leotard and pink tights, pink split-sole ballet shoes

Tap
Leotard, tights, or jazz pants (any style or color), tan tap shoes

Jazz
Leotard, tights, jazz pants or fitted “hot” pants (any style or color), tan slip-on jazz shoes
 
Hip Hop
Comfortable clothing (no baggy t-shirts) and clean tennis shoes

Communication
In order for students to get the full benefit of lessons, it is important that the instructor devotes all class time to teaching.
We ask that instruction not be interrupted. If you have questions or need to discuss a problem, please leave a message with the Studio. Your call is important and will be returned as quickly as possible. Thank you for your cooperation.

Annual Recital
There will be an annual Spring Performance at the end of the dance year, students enrolled for the entire dance year will participate in the performance. Students must be present at dress rehearsal and have a $0.00 balance on their account in order to participate in the recital. Costumes are non-refundable.

Studio Calendar
The Studio observe the following holidays, according to the Madison City Schools: Labor Day, Fall Break, Thanksgiving Break, Christmas, Spring Break and Memorial Day. We will be open on all other local, state and national holidays.

In the event of Studio closings due to inclement weather, students will be notified by phone or email. Instruction time may be made up in an alternate class.
